The Notorious Izzy Fink

Sam Glodsky lives amoung the rough-tumble gangs on th e streets of New York's Lower East Side at the turn of the twentieth century. Scrambling to earn nickles and dimes to support his invalid father and himself, he falls in with fearsome gangster Monk Eastman. Soon Sam finds himself part of an outrageous scheme to rescue Eastman's prize racing-pigeon from a cholera-ridden steamship quarantined in the harbor. The caper Monk plans to snatch the bird pairs Sam wiht his archememy, the notorious Izzy Fink.

When things fo awry, Sam embarks on an adventure of suspense and surprises among the Lower East Side's angels, oddballs, schemers, and villians.
