He Has Shot the President!, my book recounting Lincoln’s assassination and the capture of John Wilkes Booth, was published by Roaring Brook Press in April, the 150th anniversary of the tragedy. I’m working on two exciting projects, Drowned City and Aaron and Alexander. The former tells the tell the story of the Hurricane Katrina and the disaster that it brought to New Orleans in 2005. My presentation to Orchard School marked my fourth visit to a Ridgewood, New Jersey school! The Orchard School community were welcoming and and enthusiastic! Librarian Maureen LaBarr was a terrific host and a fun lunch partner!    

I spoke at Hawes School in Ridgewood, New Jersey. The kids, librarian Jennifer Kasyan, and Principal Dr Paul Semendinger made for a warm and wonderful visit!
